Canadian Hospitals Badly Need Audiologists

If you have been thinking about getting an audiology online degree then you should know that now is definitely a good time to pursue such a program. Degrees in audiology are in high demand. Certain areas of Canada seem to be having particularly big problems with the lack of qualified audiologists in their hospitals. There are brand-new audiology clinics here which are not staffed with the audiologists that are necessary to provide the care that patients need. Some of this is due to problems with funding but there is a big push to make sure that staff are hired to fill these positions.

Getting Ready for Graduation Season

While many stores are gearing up for Christmas, we are also looking ahead to graduation season.  Being that we are a store that specialized in framing, we have to make sure we have all of our diploma frames ordered so we know if there are any shortages.

Early on as the owner of this shop, I made the mistake of not looking forward enough into the future.  The first year that we owned the shop we forgot to order graduation frames, and found ourselves without any when we needed them the most.  Truth be told, it just about broke our business that year since after graduation season, the summer is really slow.

Thankfully, we did get people coming back the following year for frames, and we were ready that time.  In fact, since then, graduation has been one of the highlights of the year and the revenue that we make usually surpasses Christmas.

Though this year might be different since we have added a portrait studio to our store and it has busy since we opened it just three weeks ago.  Who knew that so many people would want pictures done before Christmas?  It has been a good match since the frames are a great up-sell when they get their pictures done. 

Hopefully it will end up being a record year and we can maybe pay ourselves a nice Christmas bonus.
