I've been working as a physician assistant for five years, and my supervisor is urging me to go after a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and subsequently take on more responsibility in the practice. He even recommended some online schools that offered Master of Science Health Science programs, which I hadn't looked into previously.
I looked at several schools and compared their admissions requirements and courses offered online. I noticed a a Human Movement Online program listed at one institution, along with the physician assistant courses I was looking for. They also have training for occupational therapy and audiology.
The website was very clear and straightforward, compared to some others I looked at. It didn't have a lot of junk that didn't have to be there, so navigating through it for information was pretty simple. My supervisor and I are discussing adjusting my work schedule to accommodate my studies. I won't lose any salary, plus the practice will be covering my tuition. I think it's really great I won't need to move anywhere to go to school - because then I wouldn't do it, not with a wife who has a good job here and a kid happy in school.
